The ECLAC Building (1966): a landmark for understanding modern architecture in Chile 29 October 2025
The ECLAC Building (1966) in Santiago, designed by Emilio Duhart, is one of Chile’s most iconic works of modern architecture. Built as the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, it was conceived as the “House of Latin America.” The building combines innovative structural solutions with deep symbolic references to Chile’s geography and culture. Through its monumental scale and raw materiality, the ECLAC engages in a direct conversation with the topography of Santiago’s valley, translating the principles of the modern movement through local architectural codes, becoming a landmark for understanding the development of modern architecture in Latin America.

AIA CONGRESS 04 October 2020
In 2018, the Copperbridge Foundation and Massantiago co-organized the AIA Committee on Design conference in Chile (Santiago, San Vicente and Valparaíso). 130 members of the American Institute of Architects came on an 8-day architecture experience with us.

VISIT TO THE BENEDICTINOS MONASTERY 14. April 2016
Report from the GA founding member, Hans Geilinger, who is saling around the world with his project; Tuvalu Barcelona. Hans made a brief stop in Santiago, during a long fly to the Philippines, place where the boat is waiting. We spent this hours with him, visiting the chapel of the Benedictine Monastery in Santiago, a modern building designed by Martín Correa and Gabriel Guarda in 1962.
